Contact form. When you submit the form on the contact page we process the name, work email address, company name, the enquiry category you select, the message you write, and the fact and time of your consent. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal.

Email correspondence. If you email us directly we process the content of that correspondence and your email address for the same purpose.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. This is used to operate and secure the website.

Analytics. Where we use website analytics, it is configured to collect aggregate usage data only. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or profiling.

Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give with the checkbox on the form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where an enquiry leads to a contract, subsequent processing is necessary for the performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We use service providers who process data on our behalf under Article 28 GDPR: our website hosting and database provider, and our email provider. They act only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where a processor operates outside the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Contact form submissions and related correspondence are retained for up to 24 months from the last contact, unless the enquiry becomes a contractual relationship, in which case commercial records are retained for the statutory retention periods under Spanish law. Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then deleted or aggregated. You may ask us to delete your enquiry earlier at any time.

Under the GDPR you have the right of access to your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@qualitylake.com. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookie or local storage used is strictly necessary for the site to function.

Data submitted through this site is transmitted over TLS and stored in an access- controlled database. Access is limited to the people who need it to answer your enquiry.

When we work inside a client environment, the client remains the controller of the data in that environment and we act as a processor under a separate data processing agreement. That processing is not covered by this website policy.

We update this policy when our processing changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
